NEW DELHI: It is not yet sure whether experienced Indian midfielder Renedy Singh has already played his last game for the country at the Asian Cup last year in Doha.
But the 32-year-old, who is now finds himself out of the team, hasn't yet thrown in the towel.
Instead, he signed for I-League club Lajong Shillong last week in what appears to be a fresh beginning for this creative midfielder.

The Manipuri midfielder remains the senior most footballer in the circuit after having stormed into the limelight in 1996.
"I am not losing any hope. I know it is difficult to make a comeback. But I am determined to prove a point," said Renedy who will turn out for the north-east club against Dempo next week.
But more than his joining Lajong, Renedy made a surprise move to Norway in the end of last year for a one-month trial with first division side Tromsø IL. He was able to get a first impression of the game in Norway at the Alfheim Stadium, which happens to be the home ground of Tromso IL.
"After the training with Tromso, physically I feel great. Now I am looking forward to Dempo match," added the midfielder who is known for his excellent free-kicks.
Renedy, who last played for United Sikkim, felt that the intensity of the training in Norway is at par with the Indian team. "But the quality is much higher than the I-League second division," said Renedy, who has 72 caps for the country.
But Tromso coach Agnar Christensen refused to give any assessment of the Indian's first session with his team. "It's exciting to see the qualities of players from a different part of the world," Helge Kræmer (Tromso IL chairman) said.
